Will Ferrell Answers Fan Email

Lots of wang-sucking talk in this one, so be careful if listening at work.

See more Will Ferrell videos at Funny or Die

Had we known that emails like this were so popular, I would have been reading them from the mailbag all along. We only get like 2 standard emails each week, but we get around 5,000 emails similar to those that Mr. Ferrell receives.

Episode #31 - The Dark President Show

It's like Christmas in September and we're giving the gift of an amazing episode!

  • Steve shows up for his family reunion, in a Batman shirt.
  • The Pile is growing, and Steve got the chance to speak with two members face to face!
  • Tracy hung out and watched football while his wife walked around for three days.
  • Dave has some news that will sadden Steve, and he saves it for the end of the show.
  • The Dave and Steve Show Drinking Game is born, so get your booze ready!
  • The mailbag is full again, and includes the latest from loyal listeners, Amber, and Mike.
  • Steve refuses to do the ENews until Dave reveals his "big news."
  • A member of Pink Floyd is dead, and Sulu got hitched (Uranus jokes abound).
  • You can't yell "witchcraft" in a crowded theater.
  • You can't go home again, and you can't fake being a student to get on the cheer squad.
  • Australia is in the news again, and this time it involves "a chest mounting kitty mucker."
  • The guys finish off the show with a highly entertaining main topic involving their ideas for action flicks starring the four members of the show. Not only that, but Steve reads excerpts from stories that were written by the lads themselves, back when they were quite young.

Tonight On the Big Show

Oh do we have a show lined up for you tonight, as the guys come up with action movies starring the four members of the show, and Steve will share the inspiration for this topic by reading some stories that we wrote when we were barely knee-high to a grasshopper.

Not only that, but Dave has a bomb to drop on Steve that will shock and sadden him. Tune in to hear him whimper!

All this plus news, entertainment headlines, and much more! We've got letters already filling up the mailbag as well, but you've still got time to get yours in and have it read on the big show, by emailing us at dasshow[at]gmail[dot]com!

We can't wait for you to hear this one!

3 Day Breast Cancer Walk

Loyal listener, and faithful writer, Amber, needs your help! She's taking part in a 3 Day Walk for breast cancer, and could really use donations. You don't have to donate a fortune, in fact any little bit helps, so get over there and sponsor her now!

She's dressed in pink like that for a reason. At least we hope she is...

Episode #30 - The Frozen Waffles Show

This time on the big show:

  • Steve hits the first of two family reunions, and his uncle gets garbage thrown in his pickup.
  • Your wife can turn you from a dirty Republican into a dirty Democrat.
  • Tracy is having technical troubles, and a new DaSS drinking game is born!
  • Dave got his tooth messed up by the Dentist and landed a new job.
  • Tracy did things to Dave's home that shouldn't be mentioned.
  • The mailbag is full again! (Send your letters now to dasshow@gmail.com)
  • Amber writes in again, and it's entertaining as always.
  • Steve forgot to mention the Peanuts Animator in his dead celebrity news.
  • Gary Coleman is down and out in Utah.
  • Oasis got jacked on stage.
  • You should say "mentally challenged" when referring to President Bush.
  • Birds can sound a lot like women in peril.
  • That wasn't an 8 inch sausage, but it was a nice spice rub.
  • The guys finish off the shows talking about their dream jobs as well as the worst jobs they've ever had. Think you can top severed cow heads, insulation installation, selling phonebook ads in a burning town, or pouring concrete in the rain? Drop us a line and tell us about it!

As you can see, it's a jam-packed show, and one you certainly don't want to miss. Plus we talk frozen waffles!

Tonight On the Big Show

Boy oh boy do we have a great show lined up tonight! We'll be talking with the Gang to find out what everyone did over the weekend (we actually got some sun), hitting the latest entertainment news, and headlines, as well as digging into the ol' Mailbag to hear what you members of the Pile have to say. Plus we'll be talking jobs, both worst and dream.

This plus lots of surprises throughout! So make sure you tune in and listen tomorrow to show number 30 of The Dave and Steve Show! You don't want to be the only kid on the block who hasn't heard it yet.

Speaking of that, have you told other kids on said block about the show yet? The only way for us to take over the world (or at least the interwebs) is through word of mouth by listeners just like you. So tell your friend, neighbor, boss or anyone else within earshot that The Dave and Steve Show is just about the best thing since velcro shoes!

More to come soon!

Episode #29 - The JP Patches Show

Warning: Though we do interview a clown on this episode of "The Dave and Steve Show," we would like to remind you that we are not a show for kids, so please make sure the little buggers are out of earshot before you listen!

The guys spend most of this show clowning around with none other than Northwest icon, JP Patches!

  • Steve attends the wedding from hell.
  • Tracy calls Steve and Dave out on their lack of testicular fortitude.
  • Dave attends the fair, and in a shocking twist, hates every minute of it.
  • The Snowman and that movie guy are dead.
  • John McCain picked a MILF, or "naughty librarian" as Tracy calls her.
  • Someone got married in a morgue.
  • You drink more when you're poor.
  • The boys finish off the cast with what just might be their most entertaining interview to date.

It's our best show yet, whether you're a JP Patches fan or not!

  • Steve's kid loves skunks and gets taken to the gang mall.
  • Tracy's kid is learning to potty like a big boy.
  • The Barenaked Lady crashed a plane.
  • American Idol gets a new judge, and nobody cares.
  • The new season of Dancing with the Stars is announced, and still nobody cares.
  • The Democratic National Convention is in full swing, and even less people care.
  • Tall people don't like being measured.
  • Steve wants you to know that "your stupid."
  • It might be a Popsicle!
  • Age is no excuse for bad grammar.
  • Nuns are (hot) people too.
  • The mailbag is jammed full tonight... even if all of the emails are from the same person.
  • The fellas end the night by sharing their dream lists of guests that they'd like to have on the show.

Our first contest entry!

I'd like to remind everyone that we will be taping the show on Tuesday of this week, so look for it to go up sometime on Wednesday.

In the meantime, I give you the first entry into our Dave and Steve Show contest. If you aren't aware of the contest, the rules are simple: Photograph yourself giving the official Dave and Steve Show salute in as crazy of a place as you think of. Bonus points if you manage to get it taken while standing with a celebrity, or in the case of our first entry from Paul, a noted politician:

That's right folks, Paul managed to get a shot of himself giving the salute while standing next to what very well could be the next President of the United States! Is it a Photoshop job? Who knows. Is it awesome? Most certainly.

For his wonderful effort, Paul will receive a "The Rocker" t-shirt from our friends at 20th Century Fox, as well as a lifetime supply of Uncle Steve's Magic Toe-Jam. And remember... "If you're in a jam and out of jam, think of Uncle Steve."

Think you can one-up Paul? Even if you can't, we'll still take your crazy shots and post them right here on the site, so make sure you send them in!

You want Bigfoot?

For those of you who have been reading about the hunters who claim to have found a dead Bigfoot and stuffed it in a freezer (image found below), we'd like to remind you that we recently had noted Bigfoot researcher, Cliff Crook, on the show a few weeks back.

He didn't find a dead bigfoot, but he did find a live one as a kid, and has been doing some serious Sasquatch studyin' ever since!

Falling down...

When a pretty lady falls down, it's funny. When a pretty lady falls down twice, it's really funny. When a pretty lady falls down twice while carrying what appears to be a watering can, it's hillarious. When a pretty lady falls down twice while carrying what appears to be a watering can and the video is played back in the same speed as a Charlie Chaplin film, it's comedy gold.

That plus Steve does actual yardwork, Tracy doesn't do much of anything, Dave gets a hotdog and a boob flash from a floating hotdog stand, iPhones scratch, Australian men like to masturbate while speeding, The Dark Knight is rich, we've finally got a contest for you, and the boys finish things off talking movies that they like that nobody else does.

Steve offends minorities with disabilities while Dave has a few movie posters. Steve's kid could find his way to Hooters. Upcoming Schedule

Loyal Members of the Pile,

We've got a great show lined up for tonight, but please be aware that posting of said show will be delayed by a day this week. This is due to the fact that we have a great interview lined up that we're going to record on Tuesday and roll into the show as well. So look for show 24 to go up sometime around Wednesday.

If you're wondering what to do with yourself between now and then, might we suggest spreading the word about this show? We're always looking for new members of The Pile, so anything you can do to spread the joy that is The Dave and Steve Show is much appreciated. You could also send us an email to let us know what you think of our little podcast, but please make sure you always put the words "argar largar" in there somewhere, so that we know you're a "Pile Faithful."

Along with tonight's amazing show, we also have yet another interview lined up for next week's show as well! Sitting down with us will be Frank Pino, from the Massachusetts band, Waltham. Frank is going to fill us in on what he's been up to, and if you're not quite sure who he is or have never heard of Waltham, we highly suggest you check him and his band out.

Waltham Myspace

So look for Show 24 on Wednesday, and another great show next week!

And remember... keep walking the walk.

P.S. - If you'd like to play a fun drinking game based on this post, try taking a drink for every instance of me typing the word "show." Honestly... I really shouldn't have been allowed to graduate from any school.

So get this...

Last night on the show I called out that Estelle Getty, famed "Golden Girl" was dead. Steve countered and said he believed her to still be alive.

Well it turns out that Steve was right... up until 5:30am this morning. According to the story making its way around the interwebs:

Estelle Getty of 'Golden Girls' dies at 84

By BOB THOMAS – 1 hour ago

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Estelle Getty, the diminutive actress who spent 40 years struggling for success before landing a role of a lifetime in 1985 as the sarcastic octogenarian Sophia on TV's "The Golden Girls," has died. She was 84.

Getty, who suffered from advanced dementia, died at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at her Hollywood Boulevard home, said her son, Carl Gettleman of Santa Monica.

"She was loved throughout the world in six continents, and if they loved sitcoms in Antarctica she would have been loved on seven continents," her son said. "She was one of the most talented comedic actresses who ever lived."

I want to go on record now to say that I, Dave of the Dave and Steve Show, did not in fact kill Estelle Getty just to prove Steve wrong. This is one of the most crazy coincidences I have ever been a part of, but I would never kill one of my beloved "Girls" just to avoid having to admit a mistake.

Now the A-Team on the other hand... I'd totally kill one of those bastards on a dare.

Show 23 Links

Steve interrupted Show #23 (download below) to send Dave a link, which caused a bit of on-air turmoil. If you'd like to see the link Steve sent, which turned out to be a video of his band performing, check out the video below:

We also had Jeff from Bad Ass Builders on the show, and wanted to pass on his link for anyone thinking about having a website built, be it for their personal use or for their business:

Episode #23 - The Andy Dick Show

Steve took in the Dark Knight and loved every minute of it, Dave doesn't give beer to children and looks disgusted at people who do, Tracy camped in the Redwoods and lived like a nomad, Steve hates San Francisco as much as Dave and Tracy hate the Oregon Coast, Dave went to E3 and met The Miz and got to see Dane Cook wander through, The Who and Coldplay don't rate high enough for a tired game tester, the butterflies weren't real, Steve thinks Michael Savage is an asshat, Jay Leno is out, Conan is in, Jimmy is on the interwebs only, Jackson went on a rampage in a personalized monster truck, a Barenaked Lady is in serious trouble, Andy Dick yet again lives up to his name, bullet-proof vests have nothing on The Bible and a good watermelon, people drink more when Steve's band plays, Steve interrupts the show to send Dave a link of his band playing music, footless bodies and bodyless feet don't go hand in hand, Jeff from BadAssBuilders.com joins the show for an interview, and the boys finish off the night by playing an 80s theme song trivia game!

It's our longest show to date, but also our best, so make sure you tune in and listen to all the fun!

Tonight on the big show...

Tonight's show should be one of our best yet. We're going to have news and entertainment headlines, in which Steve will give us his thoughts on "The Dark Knight." We'll also chat about Andy Dick's latest run-in with the law (and underage boobies), and Rampage Jackson's decision to run from the law... in a giant monster truck with his face painted on the side.

To go along with that, we've got what is probably the only website developer we've ever heard of who gets his own fanmail, as Jeff from BadAssBuilders.com sits down with the show for a chat. He's got some high-profile clients, so maybe we'll get some dirt out of him too!

Finally I'm going to try and get my tail in gear and get a trivia game lined up for the guys where they try to guess 80s TV theme songs.

It should be an entertaining show and ready for download sometime on Tuesday, so make sure you tune in!

It's a shorter-than-normal (yet jam-packed) show that you don't want to miss!

Introducing the Official Dave and Steve Show Band!

Not that we have a house band or anything, but I got official permission today to use music from rock band, The Upper Crust, for our intro and outro music!

You may have heard The Upper Crust on Guitar Hero 2, or in various other capacities, and we sure are excited to have their music as part of our show! If you haven't checked them out, swing on over to their official site and have a listen.

The new intro and outro will be part of the show very soon, and we'll be adding a permanent link to the band on the right bar there. It's the least we can do.

And just so you know, I got that "official permission" from Lord Bendover himself.

Yeah... the show is getting that big.

Review: Motley Crue - Saints of Los Angeles

In what I hope will be a continuing tradition around here, I'd like to kick off our first ever "Dave and Steve" show review of a music CD! We hope to do this more albums, TV Shows and Movies. Keep in mind that these reviews will not be a combined opinion of everyone on the show, but rather one host's opinion, be it Tracy, Steve or myself. That being said, you may occasionally see a "Second Opinion" from one of the other guys on the reviews, especially in the event that they don't agree with the review.

So without any more blabbering, here is my take on Motley Crue's latest CD, "Saints of Los Angeles":

I've often said how much I despise the term "meh," which is so widely used on the interwebs these days. It's such a dismissive way to end an argument, especially if you're losing. The conversation usually goes like this:

Wanker: Black is white!
Douche: Actually it isn't. Black is a combination of all colors, and the opposite of white. White is quite reflective, where as black tends to absorb, be it heat or color. That's why you've never heard of a "white hole."
Wanker: meh

All this being said, after listening to the latest offering, "Saints of Los Angeles," from Motley Crue, and the first by all-original members in 10 plus years, I'm left with just one feeling:

meh

From what I understand, this album was written by Sixx and his friends from his side project Sixx A.M. (get it?). The result is a boring, bland, and frankly uninspired effort. The biggest missing element to me are the hooks that made Motley so popular in the late 80s and early 90s. Where is the hook of "Kickstart My Heart," "Same Ol Situation," or "Girls, Girls, Girls?" There just aren't any moments on "SOLA" that wind up getting stuck in your head. I couldn't sing one song to you from the album, outside of the first self-titled single, despite having listened to the album many times over.

The other problem I had with this release is how desperate the song writing team seems to be when it comes to proving that Motley Crue are still "rebels." Putting the word "f*cker" in a song title, or constantly talking about how "white trash" they are just makes Motley feel exactly like what they are, which is a bunch of old men trying to stay relevant in today's music market.

I have nothing against Motley Crue, and will gladly go out and see them with Buckcherry this summer, but "SOLA" just didn't work for me. It feels like an album full of songs that would have been filler tracks on "Dr. Feelgood."

Oh and just in case you weren't aware, Motley Crue would also like to let you know that "Chicks = Trouble." I'd also like to add that "Boobs = Attractive," "Fire = Hot," and "Saints of Los Angeles = meh."

Final Score: 2.5 out of 5

Turd In A Pair of Jeans Award

The latest recipient of the Turd in a Pair of Jeans awards was actually suggested by Pile member, Laura, and we couldn't agree more!

A man has confessed to imprisoning his daughter for 24 years in a windowless basement cell and fathering seven children with her, including three who spent their entire lives there, police said Monday.

Josef Fritzl, 73, also told investigators that when one of the children died shortly after birth, he tossed the body into an incinerator, said Franz Polzer, head of the Lower Austrian Bureau of Criminal Affairs.

The daughter, now 42, had been missing since 1984 and was found by police in the town of Amstetten on Saturday evening after police received a tip. She and the children have been placed under psychiatric care in an undisclosed location.

Laura hit it right on the money, and if you'd like to nominate your own turd, give us a shout!

Turd In A Pair of Jeans Award

It's time once again to hand out a new new Turd In A Pair of Jeans Award!

The latest recipient is actually a group of recipients from the lovely state of Mississippi, who tortured a disabled pregnant woman to death.

Don't take our word for how deserving they are; here's what CNN had to say:

ALTON, Illinois (AP) -- Banished to the basement, the 29-year-old mother with a childlike mind and another baby on the way had little more than a thin rug and a mattress to call her own on the chilly concrete floor.

Dorothy Dixon ate what she could forage from the refrigerator upstairs, where housemates used her for target practice with BBs, burned her with a glue gun and doused her with scalding liquid that peeled away her skin.

They torched what few clothes she had, so she walked around naked. They often pummeled her with an aluminum bat or metal handle.

So we'd better get to work at making those awards, since we have a total of 5 to construct, and that's a lot of turds to find/produce.

Until next time...

I think we may go with a fully animated commercial, since they seem to really seem to have that down.

The film is actually getting good early reviews, so we're pretty sure that Uwe must have been drunk at the time that he made it.

Episode #6 - The I Have Your Monkey Show

The boys try a new format, Dave tests out some new audio drops, the crew hand out the first Turd In a Pair of Jeans Award, the boys discuss the latest news topics, Tracy's Mom leaves a voicemail and his wife leaves an email, and Dave explains why he's never been in a fight and probably shouldn't be. This plus a whole lot more.

To kick off the show, Dave explains that the boys are going to try out a brand new format to The Dave and Steve show. Each show will begin introductions, followed by news headlines, listeners, the main topic, and the wrap-up. They'll toss other bits in from time to time, but this structure should give listeners a much better idea of what is coming up next in the show.

Dave shows off some new audio drops he worked on, which include some amazing audio clips from both Steve and Tracy!

The crew discusses the fact that they awarded the first Turd In a Pair of Jeans Award this past week to the Marine puppy tosser. Steve goes on to explain that the winners should be required to pay a penalty, which he explains.

The crew then launches into news headlines on Dog the Bounty Hunter, Madonna (which leads to a rant from Dave about why he hates the EMP), and the mom who pressured washed her child.

Next comes a real gem, as a very special caller has left a voicemail for the guys, and they listen to that along with reading a recent email they received.

The show gets wrapped up as the group discusses the fights they've taken part in througout their lives, including Dave physically riding a possible drug addict to the ground in a mini mart as his sister looked on.

All this and a whole lot more, on the most recent episode of The Dave and Steve Show!

Until next time... keep walking the walk.

Rejected!

Why you never pop the question in such a public setting...

Let's go through a list of things that make this video awesome:

- The rejection.
- The irony of the announcers joking about it just before it happens.
- The girlfriend picking up speed as she leaves the court.
- The mascot walking the dejected man off the court.
- The NBA players laughing at the guy.
- The totally hot cheerleader giving him a pat on the back.
- The cup of beer that will ultimately lead to a 3 day bender where he will tell no less than 8,000 people how much he "loved that b*tch" and then begin to cry.

This video has it all!

The First "Turd In a Pair of Jeans Award"!

"Hang on... turd in a pair of what?" you ask?

That's right, folks, it's The Dave and Steve Show "Turd In a Pair of Jeans Award"! This super-special award is handed out to those individuals who have done something to shame the human race in one form or another. In other words... they are no more than a turd in a pair of jeans.

We'll hand these awards out only when they are fully deserved, with our first going to none other than the Marine puppy tosser.

If you haven't seen him in the news, crawl out from under your rock and do a search on the ol' Google. This awesome guy appears to throw a puppy off a cliff in a recent YouTube video. While it's possible that the film is a hoax, even if that winds up being the case, he still gets the award for wasting our time.

We know he does not represent the vast majority of brave men and women in Armed Forces around the world, so please don't read too much into this. This is one isolated turd in a pair of jeans, and is very deserving of the title.

Look for more Turd In a Pair of Jeans Awards to be handed out in the future!

Brett Favre Retires

We at the Dave and Steve Show would like to take a moment to recognize Brett Favre, who announced his retirement from professional football today.

Whether you're a fan of professional (American) football or not, the simple fact is that you should be a fan of Mr. Favre. As a diehard Seahawks supporter who got to see Brett and his team knock the Seahawks out of the playoffs this year, I still can't help but root for the guy.

In a world where professional athletes (and society in general) grow more and more narcissistic and egocentric each day, Brett was a man who let his play on the field do the talking. You never heard about Brett's run in with the law, or things of that nature, outside of an addiction to painkillers that he began taking to treat and injury. Even with that addiction Brett handled it with class and poise.

Brett was everything that was right about professional sports, and the reason that kids have heroes. In his last season, one of his best, he looked more like a 20 year old than a 17 year veteran of the league.

So hats off to you Mr. Favre. While we will miss seeing you on Sunday, we thank you for the time we did get to spend watching you play.

The Hawaii Chair

Some of you may have watched the clip of the two of us dancing and wondered, "Wow! How do those guys stay in such great shape?"

Three words...

The Hawaii Chair

Dave actually sits on the chair in a normal fashion, and then Steve sort of straddles him, noses touching, and the two then turn it on high. They do this 3 times a week, and wind up looking like the ripped hunks that they are!

The DaSS Dance

People often ask Steve and I what we do in our spare time, when we're not recording the most amazing podcast known to man. To those people, I answer with this video:

We're trying to figure out a way to work Tracy into the routine, but for now he just runs the camera and rubs body paint on us during breaks.

Episode #5 - The Uncomfortable (Ray) Show

The boys recap what they did over the weekend, Steve attends a condo-warming part, Tracy plays cowboys and indians with his mother, Dave goes "Semi-Pro," Steve fills us in on the latest in top-secret government weapons, Van Halen postpones their tour, Dave creates a senior league for NASCAR, and has a brand new prison blanket on the way to his kid.

The show starts of innocently enough with the guys sharing stories of how they spent their weekend. Steve went to a condominium warming party, Tracy listened to Western music with his mom, and Dave watched NASCAR (against his better judgement) and saw Semi-Pro.

This leads to Dave wanting to create a Senior League for NASCAR, and going over the many changes and regulations that would have to be put in place, should such a league come to pass.

The boys touch on the state of the Van Halen tour, and Tracy mentions how much David Lee Roth is looking like Sting these days.

Steve talks about a "depression ray" that the government is working on to take the spunk out of terrorists and anyone else they see fit.

Dave also talks about the blanket that was made for his infant son by a family member who is currently serving time in a federal prison. He claims it's made entirely out of cigarette cartons, but he's just joking... or is he?

It was an amazing show, and one you don't want to miss!

Van Halen? More like Van Cancelled Tour!

The Van Halen tour has come to a whammy bar snapping stop.

According to TMZ.com, the Van Halen tour has been cancelled, or at least postponed indefintly. MelodicRock.com not only confirmed this based on an inside source, but even went on to state that it has nothing to do with David Lee Roth, fueling rumors that Ed is back on the bottle.

As a side note, it was hard to concentrate on typing up this post with Gary Cherone laughing so loud over my shoulder.
